Fully Immersive Virtual Reality for Arch Viz Using Unreal Engine 4 (UE4)
I know I have been touting the benefits of VR for arch viz for quite some time now, but seriously guys, it is taking over! I won't be surprised if in 5 -10 years, arch viz imagery has become 75% real time based. So, what does this mean? It means that Unreal Engine, which has become a bit of an industry standard along with Unity (mostly UE4, though), is going to be used more and more moving forward. It's ability to render realistically in real time, plus to virtual reality is a game changer.
Arch viz walkthroughs can now be generated with player controls using a keyboard and monitor, motion controllers and a head-mounted display (VR goggles), or really whatever you want. It is so powerful, and it gives you so many options for how to present things to your client -- all of which are more immersive than a static image. And, on top of all that, you can still render static images and animations straight out of UE4, only it happens instantly! No more waiting for renderings or animations. It is time you start learning if you haven't already.
